The VOM617A low input current SOP-4 photocouplers provide GaAs infrared emitting diodes optically coupled to silicon planar phototransistor detectors. These phototransistor output optocouplers are available in a compact SOP-4 mini-flat package, saving 30% PCB space compared to a DIP-4 package. These devices also feature a high current transfer ratio, low coupling capacitance and high isolation voltage. Rated at 110ºC, the devices also offer a low input current of 5mA and can be selected from up to nine different current transfer ratios (CTR) ranging from 40% to 600%, which provides designers with greater flexibility. These coupling devices are designed for signal transfer between two electrically separated circuits.
