The MP8853GQ is a high-frequency, synchronous, rectifier, step-down switching mode converter with an I2C control interface. It offers a fully integrated solution that can achieve a continuous output current (IOUT) of up to 4A and has excellent load and linear regulation over a wide input voltage (VIN) power supply range.

 

The output voltage (VOUT) of the MP8853GQ can be controlled in real time through the I2C serial interface. The reference voltage (VREF) can also be adjusted in steps of 4mV between 0.6V and 1.108V. In addition, the VOUT slope, switching frequency (fSW), current limit, hiccup/lock protection, enable (EN), and energy-saving mode (PSM) can also be selected through the I2C interface.

 

The MP8853GQ adopts constant on-time (COT) control to provide a fast transient response and indicates whether VOUT is within the nominal range through the open-drain normal (PG) pin. Its comprehensive protection functions include overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), and over-temperature shutdown protection. The MP8853GQ is packaged in QFN-14 (3mmx3mm).
