Description

The VP225 is a USB Type-C DFP CC controller. This controller provides electrical measurement capabilities and supports the following Type-C CC controller features:

(1) Detecting USB Type-C port connection status

(2) Parsing cable orientation and twisted connections to establish USB data bus routing

(3) Establishing DFP and UFP role assignment between two connected ports

(4) Identifying and configuring VBUS: USB Type-C current modes

(5) Configuring VCONN

The PMODEx pin configures USB Type-C current modes, including default USB power delivery mode, 1.5A mode, and 3.0A mode.
