The TPS53015DGSR device is a single-channel, adaptive on-time D-CAP2 ™ mode synchronous step-down controller launched by TI. This device enables system designers to perfect the kit that includes power bus regulators for various terminal devices with an economical, efficient, low number of external components and low standby current solution. In addition, the main control loop of the TPS53015DGSR is controlled in D-CAP2 mode, enabling extremely fast transient response without the need for external compensation components. The adaptive on-time control function supports seamless conversion between the PWM mode under higher load conditions and the Eco-mode™ operation mode under light load conditions. The Eco-mode operation mode enables the device to maintain high efficiency under relatively light load conditions. This device can also adapt to low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors (such as POSCAP or SP-CAP) and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The TPS53015DGSR features an input voltage ranging from 4.5V to 28V and an output voltage from 0.77V to 7V, enabling convenient and efficient operation.
The TPS53015DGSR is available in a 3mm × 3mm 10-pin VSSOP (DGS) package and has a rated ambient temperature range of -40 °C to 85°C.
