Description

The ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T current sensor IC is an accurate and economical solution for AC and DC sensing in industrial, commercial and communication systems. The ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T features an accurate, low-offset linear Hall sensor circuit and has a copper conduction path near the wafer surface. The application current through this copper conduction path can generate a magnetic field that can be sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. Optimize the device accuracy by bringing the magnetic field closer to the Hall sensor. The precise proportional voltage is provided by a low-bias stable chopper BiCMOS Hall IC. The ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T incorporates Allegro's patented digital temperature compensation device, enabling temperature-based ultra-precise performance. When the current through the primary copper conductor path (from pins 1 and 2 to pins 3 and 4) increases, the output of ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T has a positive slope. This path is used for current measurement. The typical internal resistance value of this conduction path is 0.65 mΩ, featuring low power consumption.

 

The terminals of the conduction path are electrically isolated from the sensor leads (pins 5-8). Thus, the ACS722 current sensor can be used in high-level current sensing applications without the need for high-level side differential amplifiers or other expensive isolation technologies.

 

The ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T is available in a small flat surface mount socket SOIC8 package. The pins are 100% matte tin-plated and are compatible with the standard lead-free (Pb) printed circuit board assembly process. The ACS722LLCTR-10AB-T is lead-free inside, except for the high-temperature lead-based solder balls of the flip-chip. Currently, this device is a RoHS-exempt product.
